Creator and passionate director
I am a native French teacher with more than 20 years of experience teaching French to adults, children and teenagers, as well as preparing and assessing learners for French examinations. Over the years, I have developed my own teaching methodology, combining professional expertise, adaptability and a genuine passion for languages. I believe that learning French should not mean following the same impersonal programmes as everyone else. Every learner has different needs, goals and ways of learning.

What is Cap French?
Cap French is a learner-focused French language centre offering high-quality, innovative and personalised teaching. We know that your time is precious. Before you begin, we take the time to understand your level, objectives and learning needs. Our methodology is the result of more than 20 years of teaching experience. We do not make unrealistic promises such as becoming fluent in three months. Learning a language requires time, commitment and regular practice—but with the right guidance, it can also be motivating, enjoyable and highly rewarding. We believe that a language is meant to be spoken. Our lessons therefore place communication, interaction and confidence at the center of the learning experience. We aim to create a safe and welcoming environment where learners can speak without fear of making mistakes, feel immersed in the language and connect with fellow learners of different ages and backgrounds.
What motivates us?
We believe that education helps children and adults become more independent, confident and open-minded. Learning another language also encourages people to discover different cultures, perspectives and ways of life.
In a cosmopolitan city such as Cape Town, language learning can help build connections between communities, encourage mutual understanding and contribute to a more respectful and peaceful society.
Our approach
Our methodology combines more than 20 years of practical teaching experience with specialised academic training in teaching French as a foreign language. It is grounded in over four decades of research and developments in language education and communicative teaching. Unlike impersonal language platforms, our teaching is not limited to completing a predefined programme. Learners develop the practical skills they need to understand, speak and interact in French from the very beginning. They learn how the language works rather than memorising ready-made sentences. Grammar is taught in context and only when it supports genuine communication. Our methodology is the result of more than 20 years of real classroom experience and is guided by each learner’s progress, difficulties and needs.
